New Polish Crime Coming Soon to HBO Max. It's Set to Be a Hit on the Line of "Dog Hill"

The crime drama "Scheda", set on the Hel Peninsula, will see the light of day on August 22. The main roles in this HBO Max series are played by Magdalena Popławska and Grzegorz Damięcki, and they are partnered by Jacek Koman and Bartosz Gelner.

After the death of his father, the family elder and respected member of the Hel community, Jan "Johnny" Mróz , an avalanche of events begins that will destroy the apparent peace of Hel . The will, which was supposed to cement family ties, causes chaos that destroys the Mróz family from within.

The main characters of "Scheda" are Hanka (Magdalena Popławska) - a strong, down-to-earth woman of the sea who is the owner of fishing boats and who for years has remained faithful to her father and his principles.

Her brother is Paweł (Grzegorz Damięcki) . He is a former football player and local councilor. He is running for mayor. He has tried to fulfill his father's expectations all his life, and today he wants to deal the cards himself.

The youngest of the Mróz siblings is Maciej (Bartosz Gelner) . He is the "prodigal son" who was the only one to cut himself off from the family arrangements and choose to live in Warsaw. After his father's death, he is drawn into the gears of the past.

The three siblings are haunted by the shadow of Jan Mróz (Jacek Koman) , a retired Navy soldier and owner of a campsite, bar and family villa.

"Scheda" is directed by Anna Kazejak ("F*cking Bornholm", "Skrzydlate świe"), and the script was written by Bartosz Janiszewski ("Wataha", "Odmyśl"). "Scheda" was produced by Akson Studio on behalf of TVN Warner Bros. Discovery for the HBO Max platform.

"Scheda", whose previous working title was "Miasto Mrozów", will be available on HBO Max from August 22. The series' teaser was published on June 23, which is Father's Day, which refers to the doyen of the series family.
